The answers
Asked and answered
- What is Nic November?
- Every Nicolas Cage movie, in the order he made them, spread across the thirty nights of November. One stretch of his career per night. It is free. It is a ritual. It is the most important thing that will happen to your living room this year.
- Is Nicolas Cage involved?
- Officially, no. On the record, no. Off the record? There is no off the record. Next question.
- When does it start?
- November 1 at 12:00 AM, Las Vegas time. Not 12:01. Not sometime that weekend. Midnight. Anyone with the site open when the clock turns gets the premiere live. Set an alarm. Set two.
- What happens on November 30?
- At midnight, Las Vegas time, the finale. I cannot tell you what happens. I can tell you to be sitting down, to be there, and to say goodbye to anyone you love beforehand. Just in case.
- Do I have to watch every movie?
- "Have to" is a strong word. Should you? Yes. Nic is watching you. It is only polite to watch him back.
- Where can I watch the movies?
- Every movie on the site tells you where it streams, rents or plays for free in the US, checked before every November. Streaming services shuffle their catalogs like cowards. Cage stays exactly where he is.
- Do I need an account?
- No. No accounts, no passwords, no newsletter. Everything you tick off, rate and write stays on your device, where it belongs, between you and him.
- What happens the rest of the year?
- Cage rests. The site counts down to the next November, breathing slowly. Do not wake him. He knows when you visit.
- Why?
- Why does the moon pull the tide? Why does a man buy two castles? You already know.
